to describe a difficult action	verb stem + 「にくい」
This textbook is (a) little hard to understand.	この教科書はちょっと分かりにくい。
こわ·れ·る - to be broken; to break	壊れる
(It’s) ok even if (it’s a) little expensive so (it’s) better that (it’s) hard to break.	ちょっと高くてもいいですから、壊れにくい方がいいです。
き·れ - sharpness	切れ
き·れ·あじ - sharpness (of a sword); the feel of a cutting edge	切れ味
するど·い - pointed; sharp	鋭い
If (you) don’t have (a) sharp steak knife, steak is hard to eat.	ステーキは切れ味鋭いステーキナイフがないと食べにくいよね。
difficult action - comes from 「辛い」(painful), is more subjective	～づらい
difficult action - mostly limited to emotions and thoughts	～がたい
が·めん - terminal screen	画面
くら·い - dark; gloomy	暗い
(The) cellphone’s screen is dark and hard to read.	携帯の画面が暗くて読みにくい。
くつ - shoes	靴
ある·き - walk; walking	歩き
は·く - to put on (or wear) lower-body clothing	履く
These shoes are cute but (it’s) hard to walk so (I) don’t wear (them) much.	この靴はかわいいけど、歩きづらいから、あまり履かない。
