level questions: Darwin and Wallace

QuestionAnswer
What did Charles Darwin come up with?-He came up with the Theory of Evolution via Natural Selection
How did Charles Darwin manage to come to his Conclusion?-After spending a 5 year journey across the World, studying Plants and Animals as he went he managed to note something -That something was that there was Variation in the Same Species, and that the Better off Variations were often meaning they could Survive longer. -He also noted that those Variations could be passed to the Next Generation -'Survival of the Fittest' as because it was only the Strongest who could win it
What did Wallace come up with?-He also came up with the Idea of Natural Selection
How did Wallace manage to come to his Conclusion?-One of his Observations was that the Warning Colours are used by some Species to Deter Predators from Eating them. This is an Advantageous Adaption that had been Evolved through, by Natural Selection
Why is Charles Darwin better remembered than Wallace?-It all comes to Darwin publishing his book 'On the Origin of Species' that had a lot of the Attention to him
How has the Ideas of Evolution affected -Classification -Antibiotic Resistance -Conservation-Evolutionary Relationships are now the main thing that Classification branches off -We know now to Finish a Course of Antibiotics, to not allow Resistant Bacteria to spread, as well as constantly develop New Antibiotics to fight newly Resistant Bacteria -The Importance of Genetic Variation and how it can help the Adaption of the Changing Environments lead to Conservation Projects to help Protect Species
What does Biodiversity mean?-This simply means the Variety of Living Organisms in an Area
How can a Species be Extinct?-Simply by not enough time to Adapt to the Changing Environment, so it can't Survive and Reproduce, and the chance for a Mutation to occur
How can Seedbanks help protect Biodiversity?-Seedbanks simply Store lots of Seeds [and that means Genetic Material] from lots of different Plant Species. -If that Plant becomes Extinct, and we have the Seeds for it then we can simply Bring it Back -Seedbanks also help to converse Genetic Variation, which can be an absolute win if one of the Variation is against an Pest, or a Diseases, and Seedbanks can ensure its Safety
