level questions: Protein Synthesis

QuestionAnswer
What is a Gene, in DNA?-A Gene just means it Codes for 1 Protein
What is a Protein made up of?-Proteins, a Polymer, is made up of Amino Acids. -Every Protein will have a Different Number of Amino Acids, in a Different Order - meaning they will have a Different Shape?
How does the Order of Amino Acids work? How do Amino Acids read the Bases?-The Order on the Baes in DNA will Affect the Order of Amino Acids in the Ribosomes or the Cytoplasm [Where they are] -Amino Acids also read the Bases in Threes - so Each Amino Acid is Coded by a Sequence of 3 Bases in the Gene. Triplet Code.
So how are Proteins made?-Information for the Protein is in the DNA - the Gene. -However, the DNA can't Leave the Nucleus, so it needs to get the Information out of the Nucleus and in the Cytoplasm. -It achieves this by mRNA, which has the DNA being used for a Template - which then has Complementary Basing [Opposite Pairs] so A --> U [Uracil replaces Thymine] T-->A C-->G G-->C -That entire Step is Called Transcription -Now, the mRNA leaves the Nucleus and enters the Cytoplasm - which has Amino Acids read the Triplet Codes which will then get in the Right Order.
