They will run Low in the Summer Months -Groundwater: Aquifers are Rocks that Trap Water Underground. They are Dominant in the South East [70% of Water is from Aquifers] -Wastewater: Simply treating Water that has been Affected by Human Process - Showering - can be used for a Water Source. Essentially - Recycling Water in a Nutshell which is Important as the UK may Run out of Water to keep Everyone Hydrated.
How is Water Purified in Water Treatment Plants? Which Type of Water needs Urgent Treatment?-Usually, Groundwater is Pure to an Extent but Surface Water needs Treatment: 1. Water goes through a Wire Mesh and then through Sand and Gravel. This is Filtration 2. Iron Sulphate or Aluminium Sulphate added to Water allowing Fine Particles to Clump Together and Settle. This is Sedimentation 3. Chlorination, or UV Light, or even Ozone, will be Used to Kill Microbes.
Why may Water get Polluted?-Nitrate Residues due to Fertiliser can go into the River and Lakes. Too Many of Nitrates will lead to Health Problems, as it stops the Blood from Taking Oxygen -Lead Compounds due to Lead Pipes. Lead will make Children in Peril -Pesticide Residues due to Spraying Pesticides near the River & Lakes
How in a Dry Country may they get Potable Water? Are their any Problems?-Kuwait, for Example, Distillates Sea Water, also known as Desalination. -Desalination is Expensive due to the Energy Needed and not really Used for to make a Large Quantities of Water.
