Describe the Distribution of Water in the UK?-North and West of UK has High amounts of Rainfall, and also has a Water Surplus [More Supply than Demand] -South East and Midlands has More Higher Water Demands, due to Cities, and have Low Rainfall leading to a Water Deficit. [More Demand than Supply]
How and Why would the Demand for Water be Increasing?-1975 saw Water usage Skyrocket up [70%] because of more Things that Require more Water [Dishwashers, Washing Machines..] -Population is expected to hit 73 Million People in 2040 [UK] - more People = More Water Consumption
Why would Water Pollution be Detrimental to Populations? How does Water Pollution even Happen?-Water Pollution will just give more Pressure on Water Suppliers, because there is Less Water to be Used -Fertilisers give out Phosphates and Nitrates [Pollutes Groundwater] Pollutants from Vehicles affect Water Sources and Factories will create Chemical Substances that affects Water Sources -Affecting the Water will then spread Diseases which will Restrict the Country from Development.
What is Water Transfer and why can it be a Problem to do so?-This is simply Transferring Water from a Surplus Area to a Deficit Area. -Dams and Aqueducts may be Built, and is Expensive to do so [£300 Million for the Project that'll support Birmingham] -Wildlife may be Affected in Rivers because of Human Activity affecting them -And obviously, Political Issues may Rise because why wouldn't it be.
