Question:

Follows the Loop of Henle in the Nephron. Initial adjustment to water and salt content of the filtrate takes place here, under the influence of aldosterone. Lined with simple cuboidal cells. Here, Na+, Cl- and almost all remaining HCO3 are reabsorbed and P+ and H+ are secreted into the tubule. Only small amounts of water are reabsorbed.
