I am opening this post again as speech is a category that is currently being worked on. Anyone who has speech input issues. Please list:
1) Your device (e.g. windows computer, linux computer, apple iPhone, huawaei phone etc)
2) The error message that you see (if any)
3) Feel free to give any feedback on languages that are too easy / too hard for speech - for this we need example courses and the question. You can get the question ID from tiny print in the bottom left of any question in desktop mode (forum has no screenshot function, but it is in gray and is a number like 110203)
i have emailed in a screenshot of my microphone issue on apple iPad (works only when I put it into chrome)

To give some closure, it is recommended to use Chrome to use Memory.
We try our best to ensure ios / apple testing but we can't guarantee that updates will always be functional with Safari.
We have added a warning to the site when using Safari for now.
I apologise that we can't offer a better solution.
