Question:

Talk about the structure of cilia and flagellum.

Author: H K

Answer:

Membrane enclosed motile structures extending from the surface of eukaryotic cells, responsible for cell movement. Two versions, of the same organelle, cilia are usually shorter and occur in groups and beat rhythmically for cell movement, or move particles or fluid along the surface. Flagella are not so numerous, prokaryotic (no membrane) differ from eukaryotic ones.
