Question:

In Bronfenbrenner's model, what is the macrosystem?

Author: Ahmad Danial

Answer:

The macrosystem is the CULTURE in which a child develops and it influences all the other systems (Cole & Packer, 2011; Goodnow, 2010). For example, some cultures such as Japan and Korea, focus strongly on social influences and conformity while American and European culture focuses on the individual and emphasise autonomy (Goodnow, 2010).
