Question:

What are the conclusions of the osmosis practical?

Author: Alana Ray

Answer:

The conclusions of the osmosis practical are that the potato gains mass because water has moved in by osmosis. In concentrated solutions, the potato loses mass because water exits by osmosis. Then where the line crosses the x-axis there is no change in mass which means the concentration outside and inside the cell are the same so osmosis does not take place. Therefore this is also the approximate concentration inside the cell.
