What is Zakah?

Zakah is a compulsory charity where Muslims give 2.5% of their wealth to the poor, at the end of Ramadan. Zakah is given through donating to local Mosques as a collection, or it may be given directly to charities, such as Islamic Aid or Islamic relief.
