Question:

What is the average reaction time?

Author: Alana Ray

Answer:

The reaction time varies from person to person. But a typical range is between 0.8 to 0.9 seconds. A person’s reaction time can be measured using a ruler. To do this one person holds the ruler, and a volunteer places their fingers beside either side. The ruler is then dropped the volunteer has to catch it. The further the ruler falls, the longer the reaction time. And by measuring the distance the ruler fell, the reaction time can be looked up in a table.
