Hiring party is not vicariously liable for torts of independent contractor UNLESS (1) independent contractor is hired to perform an inherently dangerous activity, or (2) independent contractor is working on hiring party's premises, then hiring party is vicariously liable for injuries to invitees (customers) on premises
