Author: Suzuki

Answer:

The training of dental therapists is for about a period of two years involving both the reversible and irreversible procedures. The functions of a therapist vary. Their training includes clinical caries diagnosis, technique of cavity preparation in deciduous and permanent teeth, material handling and restorative skills, vital pulpotomies under rubber dam in deciduous teeth and extraction of deciduous teeth under local anaesthesia. They have a little training in interpretation of X-rays. They are not trained to provide enodontic care.
