Question:

UDP. User Datagram Protocol (UDP) is connectionless and does not guarantee that its message will be delivered to the recipient, thus the name "best effort." In contrast to Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), UDP performs no handshaking nor does it set up a virtual connection. One benefit, however, is extremely low overhead. UDP is used when reliability is not an issue.
