1. NATURAL-BORN citizen of the Philippines; 2. At least 25 YEARS OF AGE on the day of election XPN: A youth sector nominee must be at least twenty-five (25) but not more than thirty (30) years of age on the day of the election. Once he attains the age of thirty (30) during his term, he shall be allowed to continue in office until the expiration of his term. [RA No. 7941, Sec. 9 (2)] 3. Able to READ AND WRITE; 4. Except the party- list representatives, a REGISTERED VOTER in the district in which he shall be elected; 5. RESIDENT thereof for a period of NOT LESS THAN 1 YEAR immediately preceding the day of the election. (Art. VI, Sec. 6)
