The adrenal medulla is composed of neuro-secretory tissue : epinephrine & norepinephrine (these 2 hormones are also Neurotransmitters in the nervous system for the adrenergic pathway]) So during the fight / flight response the medullary cells release 2 hormones into the blood – epinephrine & norepinephrin
