The Duty Uniform will be worn when conducting official business during the duty day outside of unit areas on/off post IAW local installation policies. It will be free of holes, frays, wrinkles, and not faded. All Velcro and buttons will be fastened and sleeves will be worn down. Mission belts are not authorized. The duty uniform consists of Scorpion Uniform/flame retardant OEF MultiCam Uniform/Army improved hot weather Uniform, beret, with matching 499 tam T-shirt, belt, and AR 670-1 approved boots. Every Ranger will carry a copy of the Ranger Standards Blue Book
