Question:

Describe ovulation in the queen.

Author: Magdalena Badenhorst

Answer:

The queen, however, ovulates 26-30 hours after coitus; ovulation is thus said to be induced and not spontaneous as it is in the bitch. Either one or both ovaries may ovulate; when both ovaries ovulate, there is no relationship between the numbers of ova released by each ovary.
