-Carbohydrates are just Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen [Organic Compounds] -Monomers, like Maltose, Fructose or Glucose, Join up Together to make a Polymer - Starch [Type of Carbohydrate] -And Starch can be Broken down into Simple Sugars again. Its Reversible -Carbohydrates are Broken down, or Eaten, by Enzymes in the Mouth & Small Intestine.
