Deoxygenated blood enters the the right atrium through the inferior or superior vena cava. the tricuspid valve opens and blood flows into right ventricle. Then, the pulmonary semilunar valve opens and blood flows to the pulmonary artery to be oxygenated by the lungs. (everything is happening at the same time, in left and right sides of the heart ah). En el lado izquierdo, blood flows into the left atrium through the pulmonary vein. The mitral av valve opens and blood flows into left ventricle. Then the aortic semilunar valve opens and blood flows out to the rest of the body through the aorta
