Question:

Describe what happens when blood glucose levels in the body are too low

Author: Marilyn Bob-Manuel 3ekt

Answer:

Cells in the pancreas detect the level of glucose in the blood. If glucose levels are lower than normal, the pancreas will produce the hormone glucagon. Glucagon will break down glycogen in the liver into glucose. This then helps to raise blood glucose levels.
