Carso (or Carso-Kras) DOC

- Located in the Eastern Friuli sub-region of Friuli Venezia Giulia - Small production, but growing in reputation - Home of Vitovska (white) and Terrano (red) - Carso or Carso Rosso must be at least 70% Terrano - Wines from Duino-Aurisina, Monrupino, Sgonico and Trieste are classico - Wide range of styles - Reds labelled as riserva must be aged minimum 24 month, 12 in oak - White riservase must be aged for a minimum of 20 months
