Question:

If you keep stretching a spring with more weight, what happens?

Author: go kys

Answer:

The beginning will show that the more force = more extension. It will be in gradient which is dictated by the Spring Constant [Stiffness] However it will soon disobey the Hooke's Law [The Formula] and will go past the return of elastic deformation. This means the Spring cannot turn back to its previous shape and is now in Plastic Deformation.
