How do plants get their pigment?

Author: Carson Kapinos

Answer:

Pigments in the thylakoid membranes absorb light. Chlorophyll is the primary pigment. Accessory pigments also collect light and transfer the energy to chlorophyll (carotenoids and phycocyanins).
