Question:

What happens to photons during light-dependent reactions and what products are produced?

Author: Carson Kapinos

Answer:

Photons excite electrons to a higher energy state. This higher energy state is unstable and electrons quickly lose the energy to drop back into a stable structure. ATP and NADPH are created.
